Moseley named 2019 Outstanding Graduate in Agriculture at Crowder College

John Hilsden Moseley, of Wheaton, was recently named the 2019 Outstanding Graduate in Agriculture at Crowder College during their Annual Awards Banquet. Moseley served as the 2018/2019 President of the Aggie Club. He also served as the State Treasurer for the Missouri Professional Agricultural Student Organization (PAS).
While at Crowder, Moseley was in the Honors Program where he maintained a 4.0 GPA. He worked two jobs for the college, one as a student tutor, and he was also the Lead Student for the new Crowder Learner’s program on the college farm. Moseley also helped lead Crowder’s Agriculture Bowl team to a National Championship beating Iowa State University in Loveland, Colorado, this past spring at the National PAS Convention.
During his time at Crowder, Moseley helped with several service projects, one of which was during his 2017 Christmas vacation. A group of Aggies led by Department Chair Jorge Zapata went to Rockport, Texas, to help clean up debris and build fencing for area farmers and ranchers whose farms were destroyed by Hurricane Harvey. Several of these Aggies were from Barry County.
Last summer, the Aggie club enjoyed a trip to Costa Rica where they toured the Costa Rican Agricultural Industries. They visited several different types of fruit farms, a coffee farm, a beef cattle farm and several other agricultural related industries.
Moseley graduated Summa Cum Laude from Crowder in May 2019 with an Associates of Arts in Animal Science. Then after graduation, the Aggie Club left for Scotland and England to tour the U.K.’s Agricultural Industries. In the fall, he will be transferring to the University of Arkansas to obtain a Bachelors, then graduate school.
Moseley is a 2017 graduate of Wheaton High School. His parents are Jay and Natalie Moseley, and his grandparents are John and Billie Jean Higgs.
