Motorcyclists injured in area wrecks

According to a Missouri Highway Patrol report, at 9 a.m. on September 18, Michael Parvi (74), of Cassville, was driving a southbound 2004 Toyota Sienna when he pulled onto Missouri 76, just south of Cassville, and was struck by Mark Malanca’s northbound 2012 Harley Davidson Motorcycle. Mark (59) and Bonnie Malanca (59), of Chicago, Illinois, were transported to Mercy Hospital in Springfield. Mark Malance suffered serious injuries and was transported by Mercy Air Ambulance, while Bonnie Malanca suffered moderate injuries and was transported by Barry-Lawrence ambulance.
Moderate damage was sustained by Parvi’s Toyota Sienna; the Malancas’ Harley Davidson sustained extensive damage. All involved were wearing safety devices.
According to another Missouri Highway Patrol report, at 7:15 p.m. on September 16, Billy Dodd (35), of Aurora, was driving an eastbound 2005 Suzuki VL800 when he failed to negotiate a curve on Highway TT, 3 miles west of Crane. Dodd travelled off of the left side of the roadway and overturned. He was transported by Cox Health Ambulance to Cox South Hospital in Springfield with serious injuries. Dodd was not wearing a safety device, and the Suzuki VL800 sustained extensive damage.
