New collector holds Barry County Land Tax Sale

Newly sworn in Barry County Collector Skyler Bowman conducted her first county land tax sale on Monday, August 26. In Missouri, properties with unpaid taxes for three years are sold at auction with the starting bid the amount of the owed back taxes. This year’s land tax sale offered 171 properties. In all, the collector’s office sold 58 properties for a total of $19,235.04. There were 49 registered bidders.
