Oak Ridge Missionary Baptist Church
welcomes new pastor
August 19, 2020
The members of Oak Ridge Missionary Baptist Church are pleased to announce the appointment of Billy Chesshir as pastor.
Prior to accepting his new position, Chesshir served as a deacon and young adult Sunday School teacher for three years at Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church of Bella Vista, Arkansas. After answering the call to the ministry in 2018, Chesshir preached at numerous churches throughout Arkansas and Missouri.
A native of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Chesshir comes from a long line of Missionary Baptist preachers. His great-grandfather, grandfather and father all served as pastors, from whom he learned strong values and principles of the ministry.
Chesshir will continue in his theological journey at the BMA Seminary, where he will take several courses to better aid the church.
Chesshir and his wife, Ashley, are looking forward to getting to know the community so they can be of assistance. They are also excited to see further growth of the church.
The Chesshirs and the member of Oak Ridge Missionary Baptist Church would like to extend an invitation to all who would like to join them for worship. The church is located six miles east of Cassville on Highway 248. They meet on Sunday at 11 a.m. and on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
