Okla. woman arrested for car, debit card theft

An Oklahoman woman was arrested for allegedly stealing a vehicle and debit card from a Cassville residence on April 14. The victim reported that his vehicle had been stolen from a residence on April 14.
According to victim statement, Carly D. Akers, 27, of Afton, Okla., had been living with him and stole his vehicle key and debit card while he was sleeping at Farm Road 2200 in Cassville.
According to the affidavits of probable cause, the Barry County Sheriff’s Department pulled Akers over in the stolen vehicle on Main Street in Cassville. At that time, Akers had a blood alcohol level of 0.231 percent and was in possession of methamphetamine hidden in her bra.
Akers was also in possession of a debit card stolen from the victim. Akers said she had used the debit card at Dollar General.
Akers is charged with possession of a controlled substance, tampering with a motor vehicle in the first degree, fraudulent use of a debit device and DWI - prior. She is currently being held in the Barry County Jail in lieu of a $25,000 cash-only bond.
