One arrested terroristic threat charge at Monett High

Monett High School was placed on lock down after a terroristic threat was made, according to the Monett Police Department. A Facebook post by the Monett Police says one minor was charged with the threat following a reported social media post.
A staff member of Monett High School contacted the police on Monday, March 11, about an alleged possible threat of a school shooting. The police responded by sending officers to the school to get updated information.
The school was in lock down for around an hour before officers took the suspect into custody without incident.
According to the post, Alejandro Gonzalez, 17, was charged with terroristic threat in the first degree in Lawrence County. Gonzalez was booked into the Monett Justice Center on a $10,000 bond. Gonzalez allegedly had a weapon (knuckles) and spent ammunition. Officers reported Gonzalez was cooperative during the investigation.
The Monett Police Department searched the campus and deemed it safe for students, lifting the lock down after around an hour.
