Kenneth Phillip Taylor (53), of Golden, died Thursday when the experimental aircraft he was piloting crashed near Golden.
According to Barry County Sheriff Danny Boyd, it was Taylor’s first solo flight in the ultralight aircraft, which flew 500 feet before striking a nearby home and crashing.
According to Boyd, because of their size, ultralight experimental aircraft do not require licensing nor registration from the Federal Aviation Administration.
