Potty Safe in the Shark Tank

A local couple from Exeter, Colt and Stacy Hall, are the inventors and owners of Potty Safe, a company that offers potty-training chairs for toddlers. The chair features a patented child-proof latch that secures the waste bowl to the base, so children cannot remove it and make a mess. The innovative latch still allows adults to remove the bowl for easy cleaning purposes. It also features non-slip feet and a built in splash guard.
The idea came to them after potty-training their daughter, Emma, who loved to show off her accomplishments while carrying the bowl, and who also loved to help dump the waste. Since it was easy for her to remove the waste bowl, she ended up spilling the contents all over herself and the floor. Colt and Stacy got tired and frustrated with other models on the market, which didn’t meet their needs. They finally took matters into their own hands and created Potty Safe, the first child-proof potty-training chair.
The couple has since potty-trained their son, Ty, with Potty Safe. They are excited to help parents everywhere take a no-mess, less-stress approach to potty-training.
They recently received a chance to promote their product on ABC’s critically-acclaimed, multi-Emmy® Award-winning reality hit show, Shark Tank. On Shark Tank, contestants compete for an opportunity to generate interest in investment in their product by a panel of famous entrepreneurs.
Tune into ABC on Friday, May 8, 2020, at 7:00 p.m. (CST), to watch the Halls present their product to the Sharks.
