Purdy AmeriCorps program received special guests
Missouri's 29th District State Senator David Sater was one of three special guests to visit Purdy Schools to spotlight the school’s AmeriCorps reading program on Friday, March 6. Above, Sue Negre speaks to Sater after meeting with reading coaches to discuss the importance of the AmeriCorps program locally. Other guests included Michael Lanahan, Director of Business and Community Solutions Division at Missouri Department of Economic Development and Christina Johnson, Program Officer for Missouri Service Commission.
AmeriCorps is a national nonprofit that mobilizes communities to provide students with the proven, individualized reading support they need to read at grade level by fourth grade.
