Purdy announces Mr., Miss Merry Christmas candidates

The Purdy High School Student Council announced its 2019 Mr. and Miss Merry Christmas Candidates. The organization is hard at work planning fun activities for the K-12 student body to enjoy during Winter Wonderland Week, December 9 through 13. Themed days include: flannels and fuzzy socks on Monday, Christmas Character costumes on Tuesday, pajamas on Wednesday, class colors on Thursday, and ugly sweaters, hats and scarves on Friday. The 2019 Mr. and Miss Merry Christmas will be crowned between basketball games on Friday, December 13. The Student Council will also host a Winter Wonderland Dance for students in grades 9 through 12 following the evening’s games. Admission to the dance is $3 per person or $5 per couple. This year’s Purdy High School Mr. and Miss Merry Christmas candidates are pictured above, from left to right: freshmen Ryan Mitchell and Makayla Mazza, sophomores Weston Ellison and Caitlin Brown, juniors Clay Henderson and Aubrey Knatcal, and seniors Tony Rodriguez and Shelby Haskins.
