Purdy NEHS offers up community book box
June 6, 2018
On Tuesday, May 15, the Purdy Chapter of the National English Honor Society completed its community-driven book box project. The box, handcrafted by Purdy High School student Kyler Propps, is located directly next to the Purdy recycling center. The box was opened and stocked with books, the majority of which were left over from the similarly sponsored community book drive, and is now open to all members of the community to take, swap, borrow or leave as many books as they wish. The Purdy National English Honor Society is sponsored by faculty advisers Kayla Branstetter and Michelle Hilburn. Striking a pose around the box, NEHS officers are pictured clockwise, from left to right: Hannah Reid, president; Emma Harkey, activities chairperson; Madison Renkoski, historian; and Isbell Ibarra, secretary.
