Purdy serves up surprises at volleyball camp

During the week of July 22, Purdy High School hosted a volleyball training camp for returning players. The camp was held in the high school gym, where players did drills and played scrimmage games against one another to test their abilities and sharpen their skills for the upcoming season. The camp was led by Purdy volleyball coach Ashley Brown, with special guest coaching from Lisi Matsdorff. Matsdorff is a native of Peurto Algere, Brazil, and has had an extensive career in the world of volleyball. She has coached on nearly every level of the game, including grades 5-12, on a collegiate level as assistant and then graduate assistant volleyball coach at Missouri State University, and has volunteered as an assistant coach with the Brazilian Olympic team. Matsdorff currently serves as the head volleyball coach and physical education teacher at Central High School in Springfield.
