October 17, 2018
Purdy Elementary Principal Julie Dalton announced the recipients of the Teamwork character education medals. In partnership with elementary counselor Gary Jurgensen, Purdy kindergarten through sixth grade teachers present a different character trait each month. At the end of the month, each grade level teacher nominates one student from their class who best exemplifies the trait presented. Mrs. Dalton presents these children with a special medal, honoring their outstanding character, and hosts a special celebration, featuring snacks, games and fun activities.
Teamwork medalists include: kindergartners Sophee Hawkins, Alejandro Rivera and Brynlee Moller; first graders Bryson Terry, Evee Dunn and Emma Becker; second graders Silas Walker and Laney Lamp; third graders Sofia Cruz, Daniel Aldaba and Benjamin Martinez; fourth graders Logan Manwarren, Hector Rueda and Hayden Cowan-Sanchez; fifth graders SuaNa Lee, Lucy Lee and Pablo Alvarez; and sixth graders Aidan Martinez and Karma Kessinger.
