Purdy woman seriously injured in Hwy. 37 crash

    A Purdy woman was seriously injured last week at a crash at Highways 37 and W in Butterfield.
    Vicki D. Shockley, 59, of Purdy, was driving a 1998 Chevrolet Cavalier  and made a left turn across Highway 37. Shockley turned in front of a 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe, driven by Jarod L. Stockton, 36, of Cassville, causing the Tahoe to hit her.
    Shockley was airlifted to Cox Hospital in Springfield with serious injuries. She was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
    The Tahoe’s driver and passengers also received minor injuries from the crash. The driver, passenger April F. Stockton, 32, and three minor passengers received minor injuries are were taken to various hospitals, including Cox South in Springfield and Cox Hospital in Monett. All of the Tahoe’s passengers were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.
