Reuben Sandwiches a hit at Central Crossing

August 12, 2020

Reubens, served with a smile, by a volunteer at Central Crossing Senior Center.
The Central Crossing Senior Center offered a Pick-up-and-Go Reuben Sandwich Lunch on Friday, August 7.
We were thrilled to see so many of our seniors come out to chat while they waited for their meal.

150 Reubens, served with chips and a sugar cookie, were distributed between 11 a.m.  and 12:30 p.m. More specials are in the planning stage.

Our great kitchen staff and several volunteers came in to get the sandwiches made, packaged and taken to the front doors of the center where more volunteers distributed them to the folks in line. We thank them all for their help and dedication to our seniors.

While the center is not open at this time, we are offering frozen meals for distribution by drive-up to seniors 60+, Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The meals come with bread, milk and dessert.

Donations gladly accepted but not required. For more information on what is available for seniors age 60+, please call 417-858-6952, 8 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday or check out our website at www.shellknobseniorsinc.org anytime.
