For the past 77 seasons, the Cassville Rodeo has been hosted by the Rotary Club.
This year, for the first time, the Cassville FFA Booster Club will be taking over the reins for the 78th season.
The event will be held June 12 and 13 beginning at 8 p.m. at the Cassville Rodeo arena. “We are looking for volunteers and sponsors,” Jennifer Privett, Booster Club president, said. “We hope the community comes out to join us. There will be plenty of room to spread out and social distance. We spoke to the Barry County Health Department, and they told us because it’s an outside event, there are no crowd limits as long as we follow social distancing rules.”
According to Privett, all proceeds from the rodeo will help local FFA members. Ticket prices are $10 each; ages 5 and under are free. Concessions will be available.
