City of Cassville Public Works employee, Kenny Schieler, is scheduled to retire at the end of March after 30 years of service to the city.
Public Works director, David Brock, said Schieler began his employment with the Parks Department during a crucial time.
“He was there for the building of the aquatic center, followed by the installation of the greenway trails, one expansion after the other,” Brock said.
Schieler, who has worked for the Wastewater Department for the past ten years, liked it so well that he told Brock he wished he’d worked in that department for his entire 30 years.
On behalf of the city council, city personnel and residents of Cassville, Mayor Bill Shiveley presented Schieler with a proclamation honoring his service at the March 8 city council meeting.
