Shell Knob H2O poker run this Saturday
July 10, 2019

With the summer sun in the sky and the heat in full effect, the Shell Knob Shriners have created an event to get people in the water. On Saturday, July 13, the Shriners will host a poker run event with a unique twist. Instead of cars and motorcycles, patrons will participate in the Run on boats while travelling Table Rock Lake, The Shell Knob Shrine Club H2O Poker Run.
The cost for entry into the run is $25 the day of the event. Contestants can register for the poker run on Saturday at Big M Marina or King’s River Marina. Registration will open at 9 a.m. and close with all boats expected to have left by noon.
Pre-registration is available for a reduced cost of $20. Contestants can sign up early at the following locations: Central Crossing Marine, Pro’s Choice, Table Rock Water Sports, T & J Marine and Jug N’ Plug. The cut off for pre-registration is Friday, July 12, at 5 p.m.
Instead of stops in parking lots or local business like other poker runs, players will stop at various docks along Table Rock Lake to collect cards for their hand. The locations will be revealed players upon registration.
The winner of the run will be the player who has the best hand after all five stops. The holder of the winning hand will be given a cash grand prize. According to a representative of the Shriners, there will also be door prizes handed out at the final stop of the run.
The run’s final stop will be at Campbell Point Marina. After the run concludes at 4 p.m., dinner will be served at Campbell Point Pavillion. The menu includes pulled chicken sandwiches, calico beans, chips and water. The meal is available to contestants for a $5 meal ticket.
