Comedy, deception, romance, and a frustrated Ozark proprietor make the SKITS theatrical presentation “A Farce of Nature” an hysterical delight.
From the play’s opening scene to the final curtain, this production will keep you entertained with tons of laughs prompted by a talented and creative group of community actors.
This superbly written play, set in the Ozarks, is brought to comedic life by a wonderful mixture of veterans and three new actors, Andy Miller, Sue Klassen and Aimee Corley Spangenberg, who are displaying their talents for the first time in a SKITS production.
Aimee, the newest member of SKITS, is truly happy to be a member of the Shell Knob community.
“I have been in shows across the country and lived in New York City for ten years pursuing a career in theater. I’ve discovered that no matter where you are, you’ll always find like-minded people who get together and put on a show,” she said. “I am thrilled that I’ve found the SKITS family and finally have people to ‘play’ with!”
SKITS director, Anne Hoffman, is ecstatic about this spring presentation as well.
“It’s been a pure delight working with all the SKITS cast and crew, and this is going to be a great production,” she said.
SKITS is following CDC guidelines and taking every precaution to ensure the safety of our patrons, volunteers and crew during our production. Because of these restrictions, seating will be reduced for each performance. People will need to wear masks while moving around inside the church facility. However, you may remove them while seated.
So, whether you’re a seasoned SKITS community patron, an occasional one, or new to the area, come on down April 23 and 24 at 6:30 p.m. and Sunday, April 25, at 2 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Shell Knob.
Tickets are $10 each for adults; children 12 and under free. Tickets can be purchased at Jug’n Plug, the Shell Knob Chamber of Commerce, Freedom Bank, Arvest Bank, and online at www.shellknobspotlight.com.
