SKITS to present Peril on the High Seas
October 30, 2019
Boos, hisses, and "aahhs" are expected in the SKITS fast-paced, manic melodrama “Peril on the High Seas,” performed on November 8 and 9 at 6:30 p.m. with an additional 2 p.m. matinee performance on November 10.
Hop aboard the HMS Majestic, currently docked at the United Methodist Church in Shell Knob, where Captain Barney Kuhl will greet you as you board for this hilarious Roarin' Twenties ocean cruise where Mitzy, Ditzy, and Ritzy teach their friend, the heiress Merry Ann Sweet, how to dance the Charleston.
But wait...there's evil afoot in the form of a would-be kidnapper who wants Merry's fortune, and a young man on ship who's in love with her. Boo, hiss, hurrah and clap your hands to the music on this hilariously fun audience-participation live show.
Peril’s director, Anne Hoffman, says she is having a blast. According to Anne, “This is the best cast SKITS has ever had. I am so proud of how much progress they've already made and how well the play is shaping up. I can't wait for opening night to get here.” Anne admits she may be a bit prejudiced.
The production, presented by SKITS, is sponsored by local patrons, businesses, Table Rock Lake Community Foundation, Missouri Arts Council and ticket sales. So, get your boarding pass (ticket), pick up some homemade goodies at the concession stand, and join SKITS for this wacky ride.
Tickets for all performances are now available at Jug ‘n Plug, Freedom Bank, Arvest Bank and the Shell Knob Chamber or Commerce. Tickets are $9 for adults; children 12 and under are free. Will call tickets can be purchased by calling (417)858-6199. Be sure to like andshare SKITS on Facebook @SKITSCommunityTheater. See more information at www.shellknobspotlight.com.
