October 4, 2017
Junior Heather Windes had 14 digs, 10 assists and 9 serve receptions, and made all 16 of her serves to lead the Lady Trojans. Southwest pulled into a first-place tie with Wheaton and McAuley as all three teams have 3-1 records. Windes ended the games with more than 100 touches and only 3 errors.
"We have lost a lot of close game, so it was nice to get one, especially at home, and especially to help us get back into the conference race," said Coach Steve Voyak.
Senior Myka Cook added 13 digs and 12 kills, while Senior Hailey Benninger and Freshman Bonnie Robbins added 5 kills each for Southwest.
Southwest still has to play at Purdy and at Exeter, while Wheaton plays at McAuley and at Purdy over the next two weeks.
