Southwest Little Theatre to host Angel Awards

PicturePictured is the current Miss Missouri, Jennifer Davis. Miss Davis was first runner-up for Miss America and is the host for the Southwest Little Theatre Angel Awards on Saturday, March 24.

            The Southwest Little Theatre under the direction of Mr. Wyatt Hester will present its 18th annual Angel Awards in a dramatic monologue format, hosted by Miss Missouri on March 24, 2018, at 4:30 p.m. for the Junior High and Novice Awards ceremony and at 6:30 p.m. for the Advanced Awards ceremony, tickets are $10 per guest for this event. Tickets can be reserved by calling (417) 826-5361 or whester@swr5.net.
            Miss Jennifer Davis, the current Miss Missouri, will host the ceremony. SLT Masters of Ceremony Advanced Division include: Tanner Leonhardt, Deecan Barnes, Blanche Kirk, Mariah Long, Kaylea Holder, Deven Maleki, Colton Mathues, Allison Serrano, Myka Cook, Brianna Roller, Alissa Walker with Special Presentations by Rachell Hedden, Trevor Sneed, and Rachel Jimenez. SLT Masters of Ceremony Novice Division include: Lacey Reeves, Olivia Ayer, Jay Fields, Brian Swadley. Angel Award entertainment include SLT actors presenting a series of original dramatic monologues entitled: The Wind Beneath My Wings.
            Junior High and Novice, Saturday 4:30 p.m., performers include: Zoe Albertson, Tierney Ash, Molly Atkinson, Olivia Ayer, Cloe Brattin, Loren Butts, Carli Carmack, Michaela Coke, Brianna Cook, Payten Davis, Jay Fields, Jacob Flick, Justice Glueckert, Charlie Henderson, Shaylin Hendrix, Cloe Hodge, Haven Jarman, Nathaniel Jones, Kara Jordan, Tyler Lakey, Elizabeth Long, Brandon Lowery, Danielle Martinez, Jacob McManus,  Jailee Mitchell, Laney Moore, Braden Moreton, Brook Morgan, Jessica Munday, Seth Nipps, Savanah Owens, Sheyenne Parker, Shelbie Pendergraft, Austin Peterson, Amelia Pierce, Ethan Recio, Makenzey Reed, Lacey Reeves, Elizabeth Ross, Nathaniel Salsbury, Laisha Sanchez, Harley Setzer, Kaizer Slinkard, Samuel Smallwood, Brian Swadley, Madison Snow, Alexis Thomas, Traven Walkingstick, and Rachel Willer.

            Awards for the evening will include the Ozark-7 Competitive Speech, Readers Theatre, and One-Act Awards recap, SLT Scholarship Angel Fund Recipients, Best Play, Best Junior High Scene, Best Novice Scene, Best Actor/Actress, Best Supporting Actor/Actress, Best Cameo Actor/Actress and Technical Excellence.
