Stolen truck results in charges for Arkansas man

A Berryville, Ark., man is charged with stealing a truck from Shell Knob last week. Wendell Lee Dunbar, 38, of Berryville, Ark., is charged with tampering with a motor vehicle in the first degree.
According to affidavits of probable cause by the Barry County Sheriff’s Department, Dunbar stole the victim’s 2007 Chevrolet Silverado, valued at $8,500, from a residence on Kings River Road in Shell Knob on Sunday, June 17.
The victim reported Dunbar ran out of the residence with the victim running after him before Dunbar jumped into the truck and yelled out the window, “I’ll bring it back.”
Dunbar is currently being held in the Barry County Jail in lieu of a $20,000 cash, corp surety or 10 percent bond.
