Stones Prairie Picnic slated for July 19

A large quilt will be auctioned off at the annual Stones Prairie Picnic on July 19. The large quilt for auction was pieced by Nancy Kielblock and quilted by the quilting ladies of St. John’s Lutheran Church Stone’s Prairie, in Purdy, Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML). The queen size quilt (88 inches by 100 inches) features florals and paisley prints of cream, maroon, pinks and sages. There will also be an afghan for auction made by Margaret Rupp. The baby quilt (not pictured) was pieced by Lillian Schad and quilted by the quilting ladies of St. John’s LWML. The baby quilt features animals in its design. The quilts featured will be up for auction this year at the St. John’s Lutheran Church Stone’s Prairie Picnic in Purdy on the evening of July 19.
