Three people were taken to the hospital last Friday after a three vehicle crash south of Aurora. According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, two vehicles were stopped so one could make a left turn when a third crashed into them.
On Friday, January 10, a 1997 International, driven by Cody L. Wicker, 36, of Crane, was stopped in the northbound lane on Highway 39, about one mile south of Aurora, to make a left turn into a private business. At 12:08 p.m., a northbound 2018 Ford F250, driven by William F. Walton, 29, of Buffalo, failed to yield to the stopped traffic.
The report indicates Walton’s F250 hit the rear of a 2010 Ford F150 driven by Trinket D. Foster, 55, of Crane, that was stopped behind the International truck. The impact pushed the F150 into the rear of the 1997 International.
Wicker, the driver of the International truck, was not injured in the crash. The truck had moderate damage and was driven from the scene.
Trinket Foster, who was driving the 2010 Ford F150 in the middle of the pile-up, suffered serious injuries in the crash. A passenger in the vehicle, Christopher Vincent, 31, of Aurora, suffered moderate injuries. Both parties were wearing seat belts. They were taken to Cox South Hospital in Springfield by Mercy EMS.
William Walton suffered minor injuries in the wreck. He was not wearing a seat belt. He was also taken to Cox South Hospital in Springfield for treatment, according to the crash report.
The 2010 Ford F150 was totaled in the crash. It was towed from the scene by Jim Carr Wrecker, of Aurora.
The 2018 Ford F250 was also totaled. It was towed by Henry’s Towing, if Springfield.
This incident was investigated by Trooper R. W. Pace, of Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop D.
