Two injured in Purdy crash

The drivers of two vehicles were injured in a wreck on Friday around noon. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, the crash was a result of a second car failing to yield.
Jerry D. Clark, 45, of Cassville, was driving a 2001 Saturn SL southbound on MO 37 at Farm Road 2090 when Ruby P. Pozniak, 84, of Purdy, failed to yield and crossed the intersection westbound in 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix, striking the Saturn.
Both Clark and Pozniak received moderate injuries from the collision. Clark was transported by ambulance to Cox South in Springfield, and Pozniak was transported by ambulance to Mercy Hospital, also in Springfield.
Clark was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, but Pozniak was not. Both vehicles suffered extensive damage.
