Two vehicles crash near Monett

           A rear-end crash resulted in moderate injuries on Thursday, August 17. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, Kalee I. Periman, 18, of Monett, was driving a 2005 Saturn Vue about a mile east of Monett when she slowed in traffic and was struck from behind.
           The crash occurred around 3:20 p.m. on Highway 60, about a mile east of Monett. When Periman slowed, a 2007 Dodge Town and Country van, driven by Kathen D. Branham, 62, of Aurora, struck her from behind. Both vehicles were driving eastbound at the time of the crash.
           Branham sustained moderate injuries in the crash. He was not wearing a seatbelt. Periman had no reported injuries at the time of the crash. She was wearing a seatbelt.
           The Saturn suffered moderate damage and was driven from the scene. The Dodge suffered extensive damage and was towed from the scene by McGothlin Towing, of Aurora.
