Two wrecks back-to-back on Hwy. 248 Tuesday evening

Two wrecks occurred back-to-back on Highway 248, four miles east of Cassville Tuesday evening, October 4. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, Charli J. Epperly, 39, of Cassville, was driving westbound in a 2013 Volkswagen Passat when she turned in the path of a truck headed east.
When Epperly turned, she struck the 1999 GMC Sierra, driven by Michael T. Bauer, 44, of Cassville, head on, totalling both vehicles. Both Epperly and Bauer had to be transported to Mercy Hospital in Rogers for serious injuries sustained in the collision.
Then, while Epperly was disabled in the roadway, a 1990 Chevrolet Silverado struck her Passat, causing extensive damage to the truck. The driver of the Silverado was unidentified and had no reported injuries according to the report.
