Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP) is a nationwide non-profit organization dedicated to building and delivering homemade, fully furnished beds to needy children. This Saturday, chapters nationwide will be building beds in an event called Bunks Across America.
The Exeter chapter, which gathers monthly from spring through fall and is housed at the Exeter Assembly of God, has built and provided 108 beds for children in Barry County since its inception in July 2022.
The chapter will participate in the national event to build 40 beds between 8 a.m.-1 p.m. at the First Christian Church in Cassville.
Persons interested in volunteering for the event can contact Pastor JD Alverson at 417-671-1558 for more information.
