Wheaton BBQ brings community together over the grill

On Saturday, August 24, the city of Wheaton hosted its annual BBQ. Citizens from all over the county took part in a day-long celebration of the end of summer with food, games, carnival rides and live music. After a long climb to the top, Carter Pointer, 2, of Wheaton, lands at the bottom of an inflatable slide in a run before the next participant takes off.

Braving the humidity, several citizens cosplaying as popular comic book characters posed for pictures with excited children at the 2019 Wheaton BBQ.
