A 13-year old Pierce City boy was seriously injured after crashing an ATV he was driving on private property on Thursday.
The boy was driving a Yamaha Big Bear 400 too fast for the conditions six miles south of Pierce City on private property, and he slid into a trailer, according to a crash report by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The boy was transported by ambulance to Freeman West Hospital in Joplin. He was not wearing a safety device at the time of the crash.
