Abramovitz resigns as Athletic Director

Cassville School District Athletic Director Ben Abramovitz announced his resignation at Thursday night’s School Board meeting. His resignation will go into effect at the conclusion of the 2014-2015 school year.
Abramovitz accepted the Athletic Director position last year after David Large left the school district, taking a job at Branson Schools.
Abramovitz was also the head softball coach for Cassville Schools for the past six seasons.
During his time with Cassville Schools, Abramovitz has been the assistant middle school principal, elementary physical education teacher and has assisted with the girls high school basketball team.
According to Cassville R-IV Superintendent Richard Asbill, the district is actively seeking Abramovitz’s replacement. The new athletic director will be expected to start with the school district as early as July 1.
