Annual "Ridin' with Mason Lowe" Rodeo Held in Cassville

The third annual Ridin’ with Mason Lowe Invitational was held on Saturday, May 28, at Bill Hailey Arena in Cassville. The annual event is held in memoriam for local PBR bull rider Mason Lowe to raise funds for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in Lowe’s name. This year’s event saw 39 bull riders participating in the event, with 2022 PBR (Professional Bull Riding) Rookie of the Year, Bob Mitchell, of Steelville, taking the top spot with a score of 87 points. Kade Alberty of Beggs, Oklahoma, was a close second with a final score of 86.50. Jordan Allen, of Buffalo, took third with a score of 86 points.
Top bulls for the evening were Farmers Only, with an average score of 46. John 14:6, as well as Monkey Island, averaged scores of 45 points.
At intermission, a customized steer head was auctioned off for $2,650. One of two Kime’s Ranch jackets, which were raffled during the event, was donated back for auction and raised an additional $1,025 for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. According to Stu Crowe, event coproducer, donations were still coming in as of press time and a final fundraising total for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital will be announced in the near future.
