Area wrecks result in injuries

According to a Missouri Highway Patrol report, at 10:40 p.m. on July 23, William Martin, 53, of Cassville, was driving an eastbound 2009 Chevrolet Suburban when he ran off the edge of MO 76 on a curve and overturned. Martin was not wearing a safety device, and was transported to Mercy Hospital in Cassville with serious injuries. The vehicle was totaled, and towed by Brice’s Towing of Cassville.
According to a Missouri Highway Patrol report, at 7:45 p.m. on July 26, Stephen May, 62, of Aurora, was driving an eastbound 2021 Nissan Frontier, when he ran off of MO 248, went down an embankment, and struck a tree. May was not wearing a safety device, and was transported to Cox Hospital in Monett with moderate injuries. The vehicle was totaled, and towed by Brice’s Towing of Cassville.
