Assessor sends second notices
February 19, 2020
Barry County Assessor Sherry L. Smith announced that the second notice reminders for the 2020 Personal Property and Business Assessment Lists are scheduled to be mailed out.
The second notice reminders will be mailed in the form of a post card. Original assessment lists are due on March 1, however, you still have time to file your list online or personally turn it in without receiving a late assessment penalty, providing your list is received in the office by March 31.
If you didn’t receive an assessment list in January or if you receive a second notice post card from the Assessor’s Office, please contact the office immediately at (417) 847-2613 so your property can be properly assessed before the final late assessment penalty deadline.
New county residents who did not receive a form need to call the Assessor’s Office or drop by the office and they will fill it out for you.
For questions, contact the office Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
