Barry County COVID-19 situational update

The Barry County Health Department and Office of Emergency Management report the deaths of three people due to complications of COVID-19 during the one-week period between October 26 and November 2. All three people - two men and one woman - were in the 61+ age category; two had underlying health conditions.
The health department reports 29 new cases of COVID-19 for the same one week period, down from 30 new cases from the previous week.
The weekly positivity rate is slightly higher, at 6.78 percent, over 5.92 percent for the previous week.
The health department reports, as of November 2, that 40.9 percent of Barry County residents have been vaccinated.
