Barry County says goodbye to long-serving chief deputy

September 7, 2019
Picture
On Wednesday, August 28, the citizens of Barry County said goodbye to long serving chief sheriff’s deputy Leonard Collins with a small ceremony in the historic Barry County courthouse. Private citizens and law enforcement professionals alike took turns thanking Collins for his service and telling some of their favorite stories featuring the now-retired officer. Pictured above, Leonard Collins accepts a plaque thanking him for his service from Cassville Police Chief Dana Kammerlohr, who filled in for Barry County Sheriff Gary Davis, who was recovering from injuries.
