Barry County voters favor
Biden, Trump in Presidential Primary

Approximately 22 percent of registered voters in Barry County turned out to the polls on yesterday, March 10, to vote for their choice for the Presidential Preference Primary Election. Barry County voters favored Joe Biden as the Democratic nominee with 65.7 percent of the votes cast and Donald Trump as the Republican nominee with 98.4 percent of the votes.
Barry County’s statistics closely resemble that of voters across the state of Missouri. Initial unofficial tallies show Biden with 60 percent of the vote on the Democrat side and 97 percent in favor of Trump on the ballot for reelection in November.
In the unofficial totals released by Barry County clerk Jill LeCompte, 4,630 ballots were cast by out of 20,821 registered voters. A Democratic ballot was pulled by 1,583 voters, and 3,037 pulled Republican ballots. Only five pulled Libertarian ballots and one voter pulled a Constitution Party ballot. No one pulled a Green Party ballot this election cycle.
Of the 3,037 Republican voters, 2,988 voted for Trump. On the Democratic side, 1,040 voted for Biden.
