The Cassville Community Teachers Association (CCTA) is proud to announce Mr. Caleb Buntin, with Able 2 Products, has been named the 2020 Friend of Education.
Superintendent of Cassville R-IV School District, Dr. Richard Asbill, presented Buntin with the award during a Rotary Club meeting on Wednesday, December 9.
Buntin was nominated for this award by a CCTA member in the spring of 2020, prior to the pandemic.
"Caleb Buntin and Able 2 Products are business partners in the Primary school and have been for many years,” said the teacher who nominated him. “They are amazing business partners! They go above and beyond for the students and staff in Cassville Primary.
“They donated the megaphones to our school for recess. They come in every month to read to the class they are assigned. They have done many community-helper days where they bring in lights, sirens and other products to show the students what their business does in the community.
“Able 2 has also allowed my class (since they have been my business partner many times) to come to the facility to take tours. They have provided countless snacks, and supplies like headphones, pencils, school items, etc. to the students in our school. One year, Caleb came into my classroom with a brand new rolling desk chair as a donation to me. It was so gracious and definitely unexpected.
“They have such big hearts and love our students and school! Each year at Christmas, they give every student in their class a Christmas card with a $2 bill inside, which many students would never see otherwise. They also provide the teacher of the classes they sponsor a significant amount of money to buy books at each book fair for their students and classroom. They are remarkable and deserve to win this award."
