Cassville FFA member competing for State officer position

The Cassville FFA Chapter announced the group's chapter president Lindee Mitchell is an official candidate representing the Area 11 FFA Association for a State FFA Officer position. On March 2, Mitchell participated in the Area 11 officer interviews held at East Newton High School in Granby. Accompanying the interview was an extemporaneous speech and prompted writing activity. Mitchell will be advancing to the final round of interviews as one of 32 candidates interviewing for 16 positions on the 2020-21 State FFA Officer Team. The interviews will be held in Columbia on April 17 and 18.
Cassville FFA Greenhand Peter Littlefield competed in the FFA Creed Division at the East Newton FFA Leadership Development Event on March 2. Peter finished third in the FFA Creed Speaking Division.
Cassville FFA members are excited for the upcoming Career Development Event contests this spring season. Members competed in the first contest of the season held in Eldon. Cassville FFA placed first High Team in Poultry Evaluation with all four team members finishing in the top ten individually.
The Poultry Evaluation team members include: Sam Cochran, second high individual; Grady Stephenson, third place individual; Garrett Kritz, fifth place; and Windy Dunfee, eighth place; and Brook Davis.
The Forestry evaluation team comprised of Landry Mills, Michael Morgan, Timothy Hudson and Ethan Morgan also found success, placing third overall as a team with Landry Mills placing as the fourth high individual.
