Cassville High School announces 2024 graduate honors and awards recipients

The Cum Laude system recognizes academic excellence in which there are three tiers. Students who completed a minimum of seven successful semesters of high school, earned 25 credits, and earned a 3.50 to 3.69 GPA are awarded the bronze Cum Laude medal.
The following students graduated with Cum Laude Honors: Kyah Saffold, Monique Lopez, Colton Blankenship, Cadyn Smith, Dakotah Anderson, Joselynn Bivens, Scotlyn Richardson, Audrey Gosvener, Christopher Henry, Jonathan Dunbar, Ethan Bohmke, Cody Rose, Hailey Turben, Anna Forke, and Jackson Ray.
Students who completed a minimum of seven successful semesters of high school, earned 25 credits, and earned a 3.70 and above GPA are awarded the silver Magna Cum Laude medal. The following students graduated with Magna Cum Laude Honors: Zoie Coupland, Lacy Norris, Chaney Cox, Makenna Hagins, Tori Mitchell, Breanna Gordon, Cadence Lyons, Josie Keeven, Kathryn Morris, Gracen Hilburn, Madison Halterman, Paige Shirkey, Bentley Barber, Matthew Kunda, Fernando Alonso, Christian Renkoski, Jackson Lindley, Jeremiah Ewing, Trinity Hudgins and Kaylynn Wilson.
Students who completed eight successful semesters of high school, earned 27 credits, including three specified core electives, and earned a 3.90 or above GPA are awarded the gold Summa Cum Laude medal. The following students graduated with Summa Cum Laude Honors: Emerson Grossman, Avery Chappell, Emma Berndt, Hailey Roark, Kelsi Ware, Zoe Saylor, Gracie Harmon, Faith James, Kayden Fuchs, Andrew Gray, Jordan Craig, Madelyn Richter, Joseph Craft, Bryson Jacobson, Joseph Reuter, and Cosmo Rhoads.
The Valedictorian and Salutatorian are recognized based on the Summa Cum Laude requirements. The salutatorian is the student who ranks second highest in academic achievements of the class. The Cassville High School Class of 2024 Salutatorian is Avery Chappell with a weighted GPA of 4.10. The Valedictorian is the student who ranks highest in academic achievements of the class. The Cassville High School Class of 2024 Valedictorian is Emerson Grossman with a weighted GPA of 4.14
The Department of Elementary and Secondary Education invites public school officials to honor Missouri’s outstanding high school seniors by presenting them with the George Washington Carver Award. This recognition is given to the top 10 percent of each high school’s graduating class.
