Cassville WGA comes back swinging

Last week, the Cassville Women's Golf Association resumed play after taking a holiday break to honor the July 4th holiday. To make up for this, the association played three make up days, two of which were scored.
On July 8, the CWGA played a scramble. First place in this event went to the team of Penny Hall, Susie Jacobs, Debbie Yarnall and Jeanette Skorupski. Second place in this event went to the team of Deb York, Kay Haupert, Becky Ryder and Barb Vesley.
On July 11, the association played a best of nine holes game on both the front and back of the course. For this game, participants were scored individually. First place on this day went to Debbie Yarnall with second going to Barb Vesley.
This week’s birdies were scored by Doris Connor on holes 1 and 13. Shots closest to the pin went to Doris connor on hole six and Deb York on hole 11. WGA member Lynne Blanke scored to lowest putts of the week.
The WGA plays every week at the Cassville Golf Club located at 20276 State Highway 112 in Cassville.
