Chamber plans annual banquet

January 7, 2015
Charlea Mills

This year’s Cassville Area Chamber of Commerce banquet will be a change-up from prior years with the group deciding to drop the keynote speaker and instead feature local talents at the event.
The banquet, slated for Saturday, January 31, at 6 p.m. in the commons area of the Cassville High School, is an annual affair for the Chamber. Incoming Chamber President Michelle Bredeson said, “We are excited to change things up a bit. We are focusing on Cassville and what a great place we have the privilege of living in. I look forward to sharing with the members how their contributions, whether time or money, have contributed to some fantastic events in 2014.”
This year’s banquet will be similar to years prior in that there will be awards given for Business Beautification, a community service award and recognition of the outgoing chamber board members. In addition, this year will also feature awards for four individuals under the age of 40 for their leadership efforts in the community.
Outgoing Chamber President Kelly Mills stated, “Everyone is encouraged to attend the banquet. We are planning a nice evening of food and entertainment for all to enjoy.”
This year’s banquet is being catered by John Sullivan and the Cassville Family Career and Community Leaders of American (FCCLA) club. Advanced tickets are $20 per person and may be picked up at the chamber office. Tickets are the door the night of the event will be $25 each.
Businesses interested in donating a centerpiece that will be given away at the end of the night can contact the chamber to make arrangements.
