CHS Homecoming Parade happens Friday

September 29, 2021
The Cassville High School Student Council will host the 2021 Annual Cassville Homecoming Parade on Friday, October 1, beginning at 1 p.m. The theme for this year’s parade is “Once a Wildcat, always a Wildcat.”
Parade participants will line up on 6th Street, beginning at the Chamber of Commerce.  Floats will turn left onto Main Street, travel north to the school campus, turn right onto 14th Street (Kit Kat Drive), then travel down in front of Eunice Thomas Elementary. It will turn left at the field house onto the paved bus lane to the high school, where it will end.
The parade will start at 1 p.m. It will end at the high school by approximately 2 p.m.
Community members and parents are invited and welcomed to view the parade on Main Street between 6th and 14th Streets. The parade route from 14th Street to the high school campus will be reserved for Cassville R-IV staff and students only, and will not be open to the general public.
We are working in collaboration with the Cassville Police Department to ensure the safety of the students who are participating in and viewing the parade.
The afternoon parade timing will cause traffic slowdowns and the need for alternate routes for travelers who traditionally take Main Street between 1 and 2 p.m.
In the event of less than ideal weather conditions (rain, thunderstorms, snow), the parade will be canceled.
