COVID-19 cases increase

One additional COVID-19-related death was reported on the November 12 situational update issued by the Barry County Health Department and Office of Emergency Management on November 11. The victim was a female, aged 61 or older, who had significant underlying health conditions.
Forty-eight new cases were reported on November 11, an increase of 19 new cases from the previous report issued on November 2. Sixty-eight patients were reported as in isolation, an increase of 26 from the November 2 report, and over 75 people were in quarantine after exposure to a person with active COVID-19.
According to the health department’s report, the weekly positivity test rate was also up slightly, from 6.78 percent to 7.83 percent.
