COVID-19 Situational Update for Barry County

     According to the December 16 Situational Update from the Barry County Health Department and Office of Emergency Management, the number of positive cases of COVID-19 has risen to 2,186, up from the December 9 total of 2,089. Of the current number, 2,036 people have recovered, 110 people are in isolation with active cases, four are hospitalized and 40 have died.
     The number of deaths has risen from the 36 reported on December 9.
     Over 300 people are currently quarantined after being in contact with an active case.
     Among businesses and residential care facilities, the number of positive cases reported from George's Processing has risen to 71; Cassville Healthcare and Rehab reports 64 cases; Cedar Ridge Care Center in Cassville reports seven cases; EFCO reports 27 cases; and IDF has a total of 13 positive cases.
     The positive-case numbers have remained the same at Bentonview Park Health and Rehab, in Monett, with 32; Lacoba Homes, with 50; and Roaring River Health and Rehab, in Cassville, with 115.
