CoxHealth begins vaccinating Tier 1B-3
CoxHealth has progressed through its prioritization structure for COVID-19 vaccines, and is now starting to vaccinate individuals in Missouri’s Tier 1B-3 category. Anyone who qualifies as “critical infrastructure,” as defined by the state of Missouri’s guidelines, is eligible to register, and appointments are currently available in Springfield, Branson, Monett and Lamar.
In addition to this group, any southwest Missouri residents ages 65 or older are eligible to register, as are individuals 16 to 64 with certain comorbidities:
• Cancer
• Chronic kidney disease
• Chronic lung disease such as COPD, asthma, and pulmonary fibrosis
• Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities including Down Syndrome
• Heart conditions, including but not limited to heart failure, coronary artery disease, or cardiomyopathies
• Immunocompromised
• Severe obesity (BMI greater than 40 kg/m2)
• Sickle cell disease
• Cystic Fibrosis
• Renal disease stage 3 and above
• Diabetes Mellitus (Type 1 or 2)
• Cirrhosis
Those who qualify may call 417-269-1300 or click here to schedule a vaccine.
Individuals who are not yet eligible for vaccination may add their name and contact information to CoxHealth’s vaccine pre-registration form. While this does not secure an appointment time, it does serve as an opportunity to express interest in receiving the vaccine and to make sure the health system has an individual’s most current contact information.
To date, CoxHealth has administered nearly 46,000 total doses of COVID-19 vaccine to community members and employees.
