Dr. Trotman to debunk COVID myths during Facebook Live event

Misinformation and confusion are circulating in local communities along with coronavirus. On Wednesday, July 1, Dr. Robin Trotman, medical director of Infection Prevention at CoxHealth, will debunk myths and dispel rumors about coronavirus and COVID-19 during a Facebook Live event. In addition to information about testing technology and how to interpret results, some topics include:

  • Can I get carbon dioxide poisoning from wearing a mask?
  • Can shoes spread COVID-19?
  • Is COVID-19 the same as the flu?
  • What’s the true evidence for the treatments we have available today?

The session begins at 2 p.m. on CoxHealth’s Facebook page. Members of the public (and news media) are encouraged to send questions via Facebook Messenger and some will be answered by Dr. Trotman.
