Big news surfaced last week as construction began on the building at 1101 Old Exeter Road where Tractor Supply is housed in Cassville. Renovations began to turn the space next to Tractor Supply into two new businesses, a Dollar Tree and Hibbett Sports.
Shelly Davis, spokesperson for Dollar Tree, confirmed the news to be true and that the chain is targeetting August 27 for the opening. She said, “Now it could be a little sooner or later, but that’s our target for when we hope open the store.”
The Dollar Tree will be 8,700 square feet, an average size for most of the stores. The store will provide 12 to 15 permanent part-time employee positions and a few full-time positions, as well.
Davis said, “We are very excited to be coming to Cassville. We’re looking forward to serving the community and providing incredible deals to our customers.” She added that the store will have a variety of goods including seasonal, health and beauty products, food and snacks, and party wares.
A spokesperson for Hibbett Sports has not returned phone calls regarding their store opening. The City of Cassville issued a permit to DHS III Ventures, LLC on May 8 for an addition which expires on November 8, 2015.
