Driver injured after ejected from motorcycle

A Purdy motorcycle driver was seriously injured after crashing east of Exeter over the weekend. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, Corey J. Kelley, 25, of Purdy, was driving a 2005 Yamaha R6 motorcycle southbound on Farm Road 1090 when he crashed around 3:05 p.m. on Sunday, June 2.
Kelley’s motorcycle struck a rough patch on the roadway, skidded and left the right side of the roadway before striking a ditch, overturning and ejecting the driver.
Kelley was seriously injured and transported to Mercy Hospital for treatment.
He was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
The motorcycle was totalled and towed from the scene by a friend of the driver.
